Mission
Analysis of the financial markets is our focus as we believe that it is critical to understand how to trade and invest our money. The markets are difficult to navigate especially as globalization continues to become more prominent. We believe the markets unfold in patterns which are impacted by sentiment fundamentals, and can be quantified by technical analysis and more specifically Elliott Wave. Market Overflow will provide inter-market analysis of the financial markets with recommended trade strategies and forecasts. To this effort we hope to help our visitors, and more specifically our clients, maximize their market return, while also educating them to become better traders. It doesn’t matter to us whether the market is in an up-trend or a down-trend, we trade what we see with our “Plan our Trade, Trade our Plan” method.
Who we are
Market Overflow is a team of market analysts and active traders who collaborate to provide a broad spectrum of technical and fundamental analysis. Market Overflow’s members come from diverse backgrounds including finance, economics, banking, trading, and software engineering. Our team brings diverse ideas and perspectives, yet share a similar view on how technical and fundamental forces move markets. Combined with our team’s analysis, we use proprietary software to help form trading strategies. However, Market Overflow does more than just analysis, we trade as well. We manage a common fund called the “MO” fund and provide a limited amount of analysis to the public. Our “Premium” members benefit from our complete service and receive the same trade research and analysis that we use for our fund.
Although we have traded the markets for years with our fund, on November of 2011 we launched our “Premium” level service. We plan on continuing to grow our business with more services to become one of the leading providers of trading analysis and strategies for both retail and institutional clients.
Our strategy
We believe that both technical and fundamental forces move the market. Over long enough periods of time, fundamental, economic, and geopolitical forces will move market direction. However, during that process technical indicators can give us guidelines to find precise entry points for trades along the way. Fundamentals tell us where, and technicals tell us when. We believe free markets and free societies provide the optimal climate for economic growth, and this conviction forms our fundamental long-term market view. Market Overflow has a conviction of Elliott Wave and Fibonacci technical analysis. However, we also use a wide variety of other technical indicators on occasion, including but not limited to RSI and MACD indicators, candle stick charting, moving averages, Sentiment, and trend analysis. Market Overflow looks at a wide variety of markets including equities, bonds, forex, and commodities. Our methods look at six markets in particular as we believe they give us a gauge of the larger overall market climate. These markets include S&P 500 futures, USD Index, EUR/USD, Crude Oil, Gold, and the 10yr Treasury yield.
We seek to trade aggressively in optimal conditions to maximize returns. Also we strive to practice disciplined money management skills to reduce portfolio risk by trading in optimal conditions. Our inter-market approach with our focus on our Elliott Wave analysis provides a comprehensive, top-down trade strategy.
